Who am I?
My name is Cherry and I am a Christian woman who is learning to balance family, work and being a Pastor. This blog is a place for me to reflect on God and how to  be successful in life without compromising my faith or family. I am learning that I can be the embodiment of the gospel that shows through my work and interactions.

Personal Life?
I am married to a wonderful man who I met in 1992 during my first year in college.  Since our marriage in 1994, he has been my greatest support and helpmate in this life. Together we have built a loving home with three wonderful, God-loving sons, two beautiful godly daughter-n-laws and a yorkie named Paris.

My husband calls me a go-getter, as I currently own/run a small business while also pastoring a wonderful congregation. Which means that I have to be purposeful with planning my days to appropriately include family, ministry, career, and community while keeping my own spiritual and personal health a priority. There are days I do pretty good and days I totally miss the mark but everyday is a new day for me to try again.

How I relax?
Nature is my place to go for rest, relaxation and spiritual reflection. There is something special about being alone in the middle of God's beautiful creation that brings me to a place where I feel more connected and aware of His presence in my life. A close second is reading a book or watching a movie with my family.

Why I'm blogging?
This blog was not my idea, my oldest son in 2014 had read a journal entry that I had written and suggested that I would make a great blogger. So, in 2015 I attempted to give blogging a chance and recently moved my blog to this website. Now this blog has simply become another extension of who I am; someone who is always striving to learn more and share what I learn with others in hopes of supporting another in their walk with God.  So, let's walk together.
